Did you know that there was so much beautiful swimwear being made here in the UK? Here are some of my favourite British made brands.
Zennor Bikini was Inspired by the English folktale of The Mermaid of Zennor and doesn’t it make a wonderful brand name?! As a pastel lover I adore their fresh and quirky prints, especially the ‘Turtle Cove’. They also sell retro looking hair accessories to match.
It can be hard to find one piece swimming costumes that look as good on the beach on holiday as they do for serious swimming at home but To Dive For have the answer with their high neck styles in summery shades of yellow, cobalt and aqua. The slanted lines are also really flattering.
Founder Claire Laing started Team Beachwear after being unable to find a swimwear brand that sold the same print in styles for all the family. As a Mum of a boy, I love the idea of being able to match my swimwear to my son’s as you can normally only find girls’s swimwear to match women’s or boy’s to match men’s. Their gorgeous, colourful, pineapple, palm and flamingo prints are also very on trend.
There is something about this iconic British brand’s signature crinkle stretch fabric that is just so appealing. The designs are simple and flattering but the tactile texture really is all they need to stand out from the crowd. Available in a number or colour options (including metallics) it is of course the pastel pink and yellow designs that I am coveting, especially the Tracey Frill in yellow and white.
